Christopher Nolan's Inception Empty
PostSubject: Christopher Nolan's Inception   Christopher Nolan's Inception EmptyThu Dec 31, 2009 2:59 pm

In little more than a decade, Christopher Nolan has gone from a small independent filmmaker, who specialised in braintwisting films to the toast of Hollywood. Starting off with Following (1998) and Memento (2000), he went mainstream with his underrated remake of Insomnia (2002). Then, he went big, with Batman Begins (2005), a darker take on the caped crusader which washed away the bad memories of what Joel Schumacher had done. He then made The Prestige (2006), a deceptive mystery to rival Memento. Then came The Dark Knight (2008), maybe the best sequel of them all, which made $1 billion. How do you follow that up?? Nolan had an idea for a film, it's called Inception, but no-one knows what it's about, but it's cost $200 million to make. And it looks fucking cool!! Very Happy

As I said no-one knows what it's about, Nolan has been playing this one with his cards close to his chest. But, corporate blackmail seems to be a key plot feature. It has Leonardo DiCaprio as a businessman called Cobb who is involved in this blackmailing. That's about it for now, also in the film are Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy with Tom Berenger and Michael Caine!! Very Happy So, it has a good cast.

Filming has been shrouded mainly in secrecy, but Nolan and Co. has been Los Angeles, London, Paris, Tokyo, Tangiers in Morocco and Alberta, Canada. So far, a few set pics, a poster and a couple of trailers have been issued!!

Images from the set in Los Angeles!!

Trailer 1!!

Trailer 2, which depicts a city folding up!! Shocked Very Happy

How about that then?? Whatever Nolan has in mind, it's gonna be very exciting to see!! After The Dark Knight, he's now got carte blanche to do whatever he wants. This is an idea he's had for a while now. Whatever it is, it looks ambitious and mindtwisting... Wink
