PostSubject: Robert Rodriguez's Machete   Sun Apr 18, 2010 12:19 am

Robert Rodriguez is probabily one of the few directors out there who likes to multi-task. Not only does he direct his films, he produces them, writes them, edits them, scores them, does the special effects and sound mixing, and he's the cinematographer too!! He's also a busy director, from the El Mariachi films, he's also done the Spy Kids films, From Dusk Till Dawn and Sin City. Now, he's back with a full length film of his fake trailer he did for Grindhouse!! Very Happy Yep, Machete is getting his own film!! Very Happy

Danny Trejo plays Machete, (the uncle from the Spy Kids films), is an illegal immigrant, who is paid by Michael Benz (Jeff Fahey) to kill Texan Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro), but he's double crossed and left for dead, bad move as Machete is a Mexican Federale. And as the trailer says...

THEY JUST FUCKED WITH THE WRONG MEXICAN!! Twisted Evil Very Happy

Yep, this will be fight The Expendables to be the best action film of the year!! It looks very entertaining too, Rodriguez wrote it back in the mid 1990's, and he mentioned it to Danny Trejo then, it's taken 15 years for it to happen. And here it is, and Rodriguez has assembled a good supporting cast. Along with Jeff Fahey and De Niro, Rodriguez has also got Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Rose McGowan, Don Johnson, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin, Michelle Rodriguez and The Crazy Babysitter Twins!! Very Happy

How does that sound then?? If you saw the Grindhouse trailer, this promises to be a brilliant film!! Danny Trejo has always been a good addition to any film, and now Rodriguez has given him a starring role!! The role he was born to play, the ultimate hardass!! Very Happy It'll be released in America on September 3rd from 20th Century Fox, (the Weinsteins are bankrupt), It will be one of the best films of the year!! Very Happy

Quentin Tarantino is doing a fake trailer for Machete!!

It's called Agent Orange, and has Tim Roth as a British soldier trying to restart the Vietnam war. The trailer will also feature Rick Yune, Sacha Baron Cohen and Stacy Keach!! Very Happy

Good news!! Could there be sequels to Machete!? Very Happy

There's a fake trailer on Machete done by co-director Ethan Maniquis called Die, Machete, Die!, a trailer for a 'sequel' starring Danny Trejo and Til Schweiger off Inglourious Basterds!! Very Happy

It could have been one of these films that inflicts pain on a character in such a way that leaves all the male audience members wincing!
