| David Yates. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. Admittedly, almost anyone who does it other than Jackson will now be a director for hire, but I just don't see any particular flair within Potter that makes Yates a good fit. | |

| I honestly have no idea. That's probably why I'm not in charge of a film studio! | |

| Interesting. Stylistically, I'd hope his Hobbit would be a million miles away from D9, but that was one of the best sci-fi films in years, so he could do the same with fantasy. | |

| Yeah, it is a bit of a leap from sci-fi to fantasy. Blomkamp loves CGI, whereas Del Toro wanted a back-to-basics approach with The Hobbit's special effects. | |

| That is AWESOME news! Does seem a shame about TinTin though. That seemed like another much cherished project. | |

| If Jackson can juggle Lord of the Rings, 3 films at once, he can juggle 2 Hobbit films and Tintin at once. | |

| I don't think it could be quite that simple. I think the best would be a quick shoot for one of them, then post-production work when filming the other, but then you might be cutting back in quailty. At least with LOTR, it was all one project. | |

| Yeah, you might be right there. Do 2 different projects at once, one of them may suffer. I can't see him giving up on Tintin, he introduced Spielberg to mo-cap, unless he could get Spielberg to do the second one?? | |

| Maybe, but he has that war film to do now as well. How far away are they from finishing the first Tintin?

| Spielberg's Tintin will be out for October 2011. Jackson's Tintin film was due out in 2012. | |
