Well Terminator 4 eh? A reboot of the franchise supposedly. Now there was part of me that always wanted to see more of the battles in the future, as depicted in the previous movies. But what has got me worried though, not McG directing (i did enjoy Charlie's Angels ) but the fact its mooted to be a PG13! None of the violence or gore of the first Terminator film.
I'll have to wait to see more of this film before making my mind up totally -s'an interesting concept, but its certainly dumbed down for a wider audience...

I'm one of the very few who isn't a huge fan of either The Terminator or Judgement Day. Sure, I like them both, but I don't love them. I did love T3 though, not a great film at all but a whole load of fun. I liked the Sarah Chronicles as well.
Bale certainly makes this new one promising. Not sure about McG though. His best stuff is the TV shows he produces (Supernatural, The OC, Chuck)

Well, its meant to be a new direction for the franchise - set in the future focusing on the rise of the human resistance against the machines. Only really touched upon in the original three, in flash forward moments.
The Sarah Conner Chronicles on telly was surprisingly good, what i managed to see of it. Howerver, ever so slightly aprehensive about this one - meh i could be proved wrong though.
But to me though The Terminator IS Arnie, but the Governator wont be showing his mug in this installment...not that its been announced.

I'd agree with 4 stars. Just got back and I really liked it.
How do you think it compared with the others, Silver?

Certainly behind the first two, maybe ahead of the third.
The first is definitely the best for me, 5/5. I haven't seen 2 for ages and ages but thats probably a 5 as well. Have seen 3 for a while either, but I reckon thats a 4 so I like them all.
In some ways it didn't really feel like a Terminator film, without Arnie and without the Terminator hunting aspect but i thought it was really cool. I liked the nods to the earlier films, some of the lines and some of the music and the ships flying around looked excellent.
