Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt

Oh yes!! He's back!! Yes folks, Sacha Baron Cohen is back, and he's about to cause a shitstorm of controversy all over again!! He did it once before with Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006), and now, he's about to do it all over again, as he brings another one of his creations to the big screen. This time, it's Brüno. And already, it's causing trouble already!!

It has Brüno, a homosexual Austrian fashion reporter for ÖJRF TV, and in this film, he takes his show to America!! The film will feature such delightful scenes such as a "Blue Collar Brawlin'" cage fight in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Brüno adopting a black baby, and calling it O.J. The film has already been so controversial, the MPAA nearly gave it an NC-17 in America!! Turns out they objected to sequences of gay sex in the film. (What's the problem?? We need MORE gay sex in films I say!! ) But, it's out on July 10th over here, expect outrage!!

So, what do we make of this, ladies and gentlemen?? Borat caused outrage everywhere it played, but it was very successful indeed. It's amazing Cohen got away with it once, and he's a brave man to do it again. The films production was well publicised, but no-one clicked on wherever he went. The trailer looks hilarious, and it looks as if it won't hold back on the shock comedy...

I was surprised by how much I liked Borat, given that I'd never seen any of Cohen's stuff before (avoided it actually). Doubt that I'll make a trip to the cinema for this, but I'll certainly have a look once it hits DVD.

The film is out in a few weeks, and already the lawsuits are coming in... The same happened with Borat...

Meanwhile, at the MTV Movie Awards this week...

The premiere took place in London last night, and it's been given an '18' as well for "strong sex and sex references". Why doesn't that surprise me??

To give you an idea of how explicit the film is and why it was rated 18, the BBFC describe the most sexually explicit scenes of the film!!

"There are three strong sex scenes in the film. The first one features a montage of exaggerated sexual activity, including Bruno being anally penetrated by a dildo on a long rod attached to an exercise bike, which his boyfriend is pedalling. Other details include implied anal penetration with a fire extinguisher hose, as well as with a champagne bottle, and sight of a vacuum pump being used on Bruno's scrotum. The second shows Bruno comically miming fellatio and anilingus as he pretends to have oral sex with a deceased person with whom he is in contact through a medium, while the third scene features sex between couples at a swingers' party, with sexual detail obscured"

Oh, and it seems Sacha Baron Cohen has a conscience after all...

It's been "Snipped" for a 15 rating...
