Quentin Tarantino is back!! And this time, he's doing a western!! As we all know, QT loves a bit of the old west, he speaks highly of Sergio Leone's works, and he's used alot of Ennio Morricone's music from old Spaghetti Westerns in his films. But, QT has settled upon this as his follow up to his WW2 fantasy Inglourious Basterds, it's one he's been working on for a while, but it looks as if he might be ready to get it made!! Django Unchained, see's QT in the old west, but it sounds like a good one too.
According to this, it's about a freed black slave called Django who teams up a German bounty hunter (to be played by Christoph Waltz, the best thing about Inglourious Basterds), and they team up taking on baddies, and even track down Django's slave wife who has been taken by an evil plantation owner!!
So, who's up for this?? I know QT can be a little marmite to some, and he does nick stuff from other films, but he educates viewers on rare films that you might not get the chance to see. The only thing that might put people off is that it's another revenge flick, like what Kill Bill and Inglourious Basterds was. But, advance word on the script is excellent, with QT's dialogue apparantly up to scratch, but it's said to be very racist too. But, that's what it was like back then, and I'm sure QT will deliver an entertaining film. It's a wonder he didn't go with a title with Once Upon A Time in it...

My new Empire came the other day, and there's loads of new images from Django Unchained!!
The man sitting next to Jamie Foxx in the image there is Franco Nero, who was the title role in Sergio Corbucci's Django (1966). See the connection QT did there??
