| Untraceable - 3.5/5 Very good little serial killer flick, fine cast let down by a slightly rushed ending - good killer moments too - Saw meets You-Tube.
Be Kind Rewind - 3/5 Not quite the side splitter expected, but still an enjoyable little film. Some moments of genius and an original plot. If the Ghostbusters remake doesnt get you laughing, then you're clearly dead.

| THE DARK KNIGHT
Positive
Heath Ledger was absolutely terrific as The Joker, he looked brilliant and was genuinely menacing throughout after a superb introduction.
I have to agree with emo though that Aaron Eckhart was even better.
I really liked the batcycle, especially the way it just eased out of the batmobile. The scene where Batman tipped over the Joker's lorry was excellent.
Christian Bale was very good again as Batman/Wayne.
Cool cameo from William Fichtner at the beginning.
Negative
I felt that Michael Caine was a bit underused, it would have been nice to see more of Alfred.
I didn't like the way Gordon's fake death was done, and Gordon in general wasn't as good this time. He was one of my favourite things about the first film but this time he didn't seem quite as likeable.
I much prefer Katie Holmes over Maggie Gyllenhaal.
The soundtrack was a bit weird, there were times when i thought it just sounded like a siren or an alarm
Verdict Overall there was a lot that was very very good, it jsut didn't quite all fit together to make the film as brilliant I was expecting. With the positive reviews I thought I was going to see a film that would be immediately one of my all time favourites. But I didn't, not as good as Begins in my opinion.

| PostivesRobert Downey Jr. I've always liked him (well, since I first saw Chaplin at least). He reminds me a lot of Johnny Depp, a very watchable actor, who entertains while doing his job, and this in one of his most fun roles. He'll never be considered the best Holmes, but it's hard to imagine anyone else in this take on the character. Jude Law. It's not often you get to praise him but he's very good here. Scientific fact, Jude Law acts better with a moustache! Mark Strong! Boo hiss all the way! Hams Zimmer's score. I'm quite the fan of Zimmer so I always like seeing what he comes up with next. It's not as obviously Zimmer-y as others, but there's a bit of The Dark Knight and some At World's End to be had in the score, yet it comes across as it's own unique piece of music. "Discombubulate"! The design of and look of the film. everything from the slight bohemian costume for Holmes, to the expensive Victorian-era sets (some of the locations I recognised from nearby Liverpool, probably the best thing that city's been used for in about 50 years). Effects aren't too shabby either. Tis quite funny, In fact, it's funnier than most proper comedies of recent years. At least three of four times in the cinema I had to stifle a big laugh for fear of being chucked out NegativesThere's probably quite a few, but I had too good a time to be nitpicky OverallMost fun I've had in the cinema since, well, quite a while ago! | |

| JAMES BOND! ABBA! MR DARCY! DANCING QUEEN! BOOTSTRAP BILL! MONEY MONEY MONEY! VERONICA MARS' BEST MATE! VOULEZ-VOUS! SOPHIE ZAWISTOWSKI aka THE BEST ACTRESS IN MODERN CINEMA! THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL! MOLLY WEASLEY! THE JOURNALIST FROM CHICAGO! STELLAN SKARSGARD'S ARSE! WATERLOO! LOADS OF OTHER ABBA SONGS! PIERCE BROSNAN SINGING! FORGET ALL THE NAYSAYING, FUN-HATERS WITH HEARTS SMALLER THAN THE GRINCH. THIS IS AMAZING!!! 50/50 (this may or may not be an accurate reflection of my true feelings) | |

| Robin Hood, Robin Hood. Made by Ridley Scott. Robin Hood, is it good? Actually quite a lot. Starring Russell Crowe, accent wanders to and fro. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood, Robin Hood. With the lovely Cate Robin Hood, Robin Hood. Mark Strong and his shiny pate. Macfadyen not so hot, Rickman he is not. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood, Robin Hood. Lots and lots of fighting Robin Hood, not much blood, hence its 12A rating. Archie Morris from ER, battles in lands afar Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood, Robin Hood, bad guys are caric'tures. Robin Hood, Robin Hood, but the film it never bores. The music is quite grand, photography's not bland. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood, Robin Hood, should there be a sequel? Robin Hood, yes there should, as this is just a prequel To the proper story, that we know in all it's glory. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. Robin Hood. | |

| Time for another review, This one's a sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational one. SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN! AND IF YOU HAVEN'T THEN THIS CLIP SAYS IT ALL - http://www.hark.com/clips/pllndlzxqb-shame-on-you The Good Stuff- It's The Muppets! Muppets are always good. Even the Muppets Wizard Of Oz had some good bits! - The "getting back together" montage! Brilliant. I particularly loved Sam eag'e news report "Everything stinks". That's just genius. Also great was Rowlf's upset that he wasn't included in the montage. and let's not forget poor old Beaker. - Muppet man! - Miss Piggy's reaction to seeing Kermit. "Kermieeeee! Kissy kissy!" - Life's A Happy song - The songs in general were pretty damn good. And because they were, Figwit now has an Oscar! - Muppet cameos galore! I lost count of how many of teh lesser known Muppets appeared, but some of my all-time favourite from the show made popped up. Bobo, Thog, Yolanda, Behemoth, Marvin Suggs and Lips to name just a few. - A big role for Uncle Deadly! - The recreation of the Muppet show titles was a brilliant move, as was staging the show all over again. One of the great elements of the original show was the sketch show aspect, and having the gang reassemble brought a little bit of that aspect back. Camilla and the Chickens were superb, but even better was the Barbershop quartet. Sam, Chef, Rowlf and Beaker singing Smells Like teen Spirit. They did a better job than Nirvana! - Alan Arkin, Neil Patrick Harris and Jim Parsons - "In control" - The Moopets. Poor old Fozzie! - So much more The Not So Good- A bit too sentimental at times. All the films have their moments of sappinesss, something that the show never needed, and this had a few pass the sick bucket moments - Me Party and Let's Talk About Me. The only bad songs in the film, I could've done without them. - The human cameos. All of the Muppet cameos were great. Almost all of the human cameos were pointless. And could they not have found someone better than Jack Black? - Not enough Beaker! - Not enough Bunsen! - Not enough Swedish Chef! - Not enough Rowlf! - Not enough Sweetums! - Not enough Statler and Waldorf! - More Muppets, fewer Humans needed! Overall I can't quite give it top marks but I'm almost certain I will when I see it again. It was supremely good fun and perfect a lot of the time. Their are moments of true genius in this. Their best since Christmas Carol, and probably the third best Muppet film overall. Now if their next film could be a feature length edition of the Muppet Show, that would be fantastic in more ways than are possible - 4.9/5 | |

| (to the tune of Look Down) SPOILERS!! Les Mis, Les Mis Directed by Tom Hooper Les Mis, Les Mis It really is quite super Because I am An uncultured troglodyte I was unaware of Jean Valjean's plight As much as I Enjoyed the whole production It never got better Than the introduction With all the slaves. Lugging in the ship It was the on- -ly time it felt epic I wanted to laugh At the start when Russell Crowe StarTED to SING Like A child IN a Christmas SHOW. But in the end I understood his pain And was so sad When he jumped in the Seine Hugh Jackman, his part he did brilliantly play He is very good As is Anne Hathaway They should get Oscars But it's not all great Eddie Redmayne is as useless in this As he has been is in everything He simply cannot act And the love triangle sucks I didn't end up caring at at all For the three young leads Eighteen Thirty Two That's when it all started to get boring THis section really needed a lot more Valjeeeeeeeeeeeeean and Javarre And Sacha Baron Cohen Who I tend to like, played it wrong He's no Alun Armstrong But the film did not feel long In fact it flew by Unlike Django unchained Which felt like 10 hours. This went much faster Les Mis, Les Mis I really can't deny I shed a tear When Jean Valjean did die Despite the fact Much could've been done diff'rently I loved this fim Bring on the DVD | |

| The Lone Ranger
Johnny Depp, Johnny Depp, Johnny Depp's Tonto And he plays a him a bit like Jack Sparrow This Lone Ranger film is a bit too long But it doesn't put a foot wrong
It's a lot, it's a lot, it's a lot of fun I could tell from the second it begun That I would enjoy this film. It's brill Just a shame there'll be no sequel
It's a great, it's a great, it's great action film One of the best out this year At the end, at the end there's a scene so good It made me want to cheer
With a cast, with a cast, with a cast all game And clearly having a great time It is Depp, it is Depp, it is Depp and Hammer Who truly are sublime
Hans Zimmer provides us with a great score In fact it's his best since he did Pirates 4
Tom Wilkin, Tom Wilkin, Tom Wilkinson, With William Fichtner, is a bad'un The latter, especially, an ultimate swine He could have done with more screen time
The film is, the film is an action packed treat And because of that it's right up my street With plenty of nods to Lone Ranger of old Why have, reviews been so cold?
It's so good Oh, yes it it So good Oh, yes it is
Lots of fun Just so much fun
Makes me sad You must be a cad To call this bad Not like it a tad.
And now this film has flopped, there won't be more and overall this doesn't make me glad.
